File concerning Patrick Fox [Simon Li (RCMP); Shan-Marie Pereira (CBSA); Frank Grosspietsch (RCMP); Denise Kam (RCMP)]
Hello Superintendent Stone,
Thanks again for speaking to me regarding Mr. Patrick Fox. As I understood from our conversation, Mr. Fox is due to be deported back to Canada by the US authority. I would like to request that his Firearms Licence (PAL) to be seized for public safety reasons and either return it to my office or return to Cst. Denise Kam of the Burnaby RCMP. I have copied Cst. Kam on this email to see if she wish to be notified upon Mr. Fox's re-entry to Canada for follow up.
If an interview can conducted with Mr. Fox, I would like to know his home address in Canada and where is he storing his firearms, including restricted and non-restricted firearms.
Please feel free to contact me if you need anything else. I really appreciate your help.
Regards;
Simon

Hi Simon and Denise. I have input a lookout for Mr. Fox. Our file number is 1613-16-0530. HSI should notify me roughly what time Mr Fox will be at the border. I was hoping to get more guidance on who the port should contact when he is intercepted.
Thank you

Hello,
I am not sure about the time line but Cst. Kam is off today and returning tomorrow morning. Cpl. Grosspietsch from the National Weapons Enforcement Support Team (NWEST) was consulted on the file with Cst. Kam.

Upon arrival at border, FOX must be interviewed in order to determine where he is now residing. I am not aware of which jurisdiction he has moved into or if he is still in the same city. As a SW was done at his last residence and no firearms were located. I would consider ensuring that he cannot be released until all his firearms are accounted for! It may either involve another 117 Public Safety Search Warrant or an Exigent Search via respective agency of jurisdiction or CBSA Investigations.
If he is permitted to enter and his firearms are not located / incident occurs / inquiry will hang someone!
The fact that is email chain is now a record of that advise, consider the repercussions of non-action.
Hi Shan-Marie!
Cheers

Hi Shan-Marie,
Please advise when Mr FOX will be arriving at the border. Would CBSA be able to conduct an interview on FOX when he returns to find out where these firearms are? I can also make arrangements for someone to come down to speak with him.
Please advise. Thanks,
Denise
